Whether joining us in Dallas or bidding from across the country, Adam House Auctions offers several convenient ways to participate in our sales.
WAYS TO BID
ABSENTEE BIDDING
Can’t attend live? Qualified bidders may submit an in-house absentee bid at least 24 hours before the auction.
In-house absentee bidding is available to qualified registered bidders.
All completed absentee bid forms and arrangements must be received no later than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start of the auction.
An absentee bid is the maximum hammer price the bidder authorizes Adam House Auctions to bid on the bidder’s behalf. The 28% buyer’s premium, applicable sales tax, and other applicable charges are additional.
Unless otherwise approved, an in-house absentee bidder must provide three established auction-house references. References must be verified and approved in advance before absentee bids will be executed.
The three-reference requirement may be waived for an absentee bidder who agrees to pay all successful purchases by cash or wire transfer.
Absentee bidding is offered as a convenience and successful execution cannot be guaranteed.
Adam House Auctions does not currently offer telephone bidding.
BEFORE YOU BID
REGISTRATION
Government-issued identification is required. Bidder approval and additional verification may be required.
All in-person bidders must register before bidding and will be issued a bidder number or paddle.
A valid government-issued photo ID is required. Adam House Auctions may require additional identification, payment information, references, deposits, or other verification before approving a bidder.
If a bidder intends to pay by credit or debit card, a valid card may be required to be placed on file at registration. Online bidders must register through LiveAuctioneers or HiBid and are also subject to the registration requirements, terms, conditions, and fees of the selected platform.
Bidder approval is handled on an individual basis. We strongly recommend registering well in advance of the auction.
PAYMENT
28% buyer’s premium. Payment is due within 72 hours following the auction.
A 28% buyer’s premium is added to the hammer price of each successful purchase.
Payment in full is due within seventy-two (72) hours following the conclusion of the auction.
Accepted payment methods: credit cards, debit cards, wire transfers, cashier’s checks, and cash. Personal checks are not accepted.
Adam House Auctions reserves the right to require wire transfer or cashier’s check for certain purchases, including jewelry, watches, precious metals, luxury goods, high-value purchases, international transactions, new bidders, or transactions requiring additional payment security.
No property will be released until payment has been received in full and all funds have cleared.
LiveAuctioneers and HiBid may impose additional platform-specific terms, conditions, procedures, and fees.
PICKUP & SHIPPING
Pickup is available during designated pickup times. Adam House Auctions does not provide in-house shipping.
No pickup is available on auction day or the day immediately following the auction.
Purchases may be collected during the designated pickup dates and times for each auction. Government-issued photo ID is required for pickup.
If another person, mover, or shipper will collect property on the purchaser’s behalf, advance authorization may be required before release.
Buyers are responsible for providing appropriate packing materials, labor, equipment, and vehicles. Adam House Auctions does not provide packing, wrapping, loading, or moving services.
Adam House Auctions does not provide in-house packing or shipping. Buyers arrange and pay for shipping, transportation, and insurance directly with an independent third-party provider.
We may provide contact information for independent shipping providers that we or our clients have used previously. These
providers are independent of Adam House Auctions.
Purchases must be removed within 10 business days following the auction unless otherwise stated. After 10 business days, storage charges of $25 per lot, per day apply.
Property remaining unclaimed after 30 calendar days will be handled in accordance with the Adam House Auctions Terms & Conditions of Sale and applicable law.
